Use of containerization technology for virtual networks requires multiple applications from multiple developers/vendors. I created a Rise online course for learners to keep straight over 30 separate industry-standard tools for containers, often with overlapping and somewhat redundant functionality.
To help students differentiate between the tools, they were first systematically presented in groupings by developer-specific software suites, with Storyline-based interactions enabling the students to control the information flow. The same tools were then presented a second time, regrouped by related function, with elaborated context specific to deployment.
Descriptions of the tools were also supplied as a downloadable PDF reference alphabetical tool index as a third method of content organization. Other downloadable PDF support resources created in InDesign included a curriculum guide with a curated list of related LinkedIn Learning courses.
