FirstNet was launched in 2017 as a public-private agency within the U.S. National Telecommunications and Information Administration. FirstNet was created to provide first responders with optimized mobile devices and prioritized network access during emergencies.
In collaboration with FirstNet subject matter experts, I was solely responsible for creating new FirstNet-specific training for network engineers to understand the history, rationale, and technical considerations behind the FirstNet program.
The self-paced eLearning was authored in Articulate Rise with a custom template that I designed, based on FirstNet’s specific branding typography, color palette, and graphic style standards. To reinforce a distinctive feel and uniform identity across the course, I also devised a funky photo cropping convention derived from the FirstNet logo using Photoshop’s layer masking features.
